Suffolk Woodchips was founded in 1966 by Michael Edwards and over the last 23 years been heavily involved in the modification and production of mobile chipping units.

The forestry side of the business presently covers some 1500 - 2000 acres of woodland, which is then chipped and broken down into various products.

We have an ongoing Research and Development Programme for machinery and development into forestry products. This is highlighted by our present production of approx 1000 tonnes per week of energy chip for power generation.

We have been market leaders in various wood chip products from the equestrian industry through to the leisure and horticultural industry. This is born out by our present position in the market place whilst working with the Forestry Commission gives us the satisfaction of dealing with virgin material from certified forests maintained in such a way to contribute to our environmental position in this market.

We are currently one of the leading woodchip energy suppliers in the UK.
